Been thinking of you almost hourly, Charlie....I've taken this one rather hard. The friend I've always thought as one of my closest Buds since high school and I never even dreamed about this possibility. We never considered there would be an ending.. You were always there, with the wry smile on your face, never sad or morose, same old Charlie. I always enjoyed our conversations as we always seemed to find a lot to talk about, always about things and people we knew, sometimes topical, sometimes gossipy but always upbeat. Seems as though now there was never a thought of these times ending as we took it for granted that we would go on and on and on.

I'll miss you Buddy as I never thought a lot about what made Charlie, Charlie, but now that I ponder your family's loss and the loss to your world of friends, the character of the man comes to the forefront.......your willingness to give to and help others, the non-compromising of your beliefs, the integrity in dealing with folks, your devotion to your family and your genuine love for people. I was witness to and saw all of these characteristics up close.

Patsy, Chris and Melissa and their families will continue on without you with great memories of a righteous man they call Dad. Your leaving will create an empty void in their lives and a shadow on the hearts of your many friends..

So long my friend, we'll continue our conversations another day on another stool and in the meantime, look over those you've left behind.

May God bless you, Charlie, and your family., and may God bless us all. Amen

Dear Patsy and children, I am sorry about the loss of Charles. I had seen him a couple of times lately and he looked well but one never knows. I remember our younger days and how much fun he was and his quick wit. He will be missed and it is hard to lose your partner of over 50 years, I lost Jules 3 years ago and I will always miss him as you will with Charles. Always, Anne Lea
