Marilyn Rose Ketteringham Rogers was born on May 25, 1942, and passed away peacefully at home on January 18, 2018, at the age of 75. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents John Morgan Ketteringham and Claire Guillot Ketteringham, her husband, Marvin Tracy Rogers and her son Mark Tracy Rogers. Marilyn is survived by her children, Jeanne Rogers Barras (Mike), Timothy John Rogers, and Julie Anne Rogers. She leaves behind six wonderful and loving grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Marilyn was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Metairie, Louisiana. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church. When her children became enrolled in school, Marilyn donated her time to school activities, several charities and caring for her extended family and friends that she loved and cared for. She had many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that she loved and cared for. She was a devoted and natural born caregiver. Marilyn will be remembered for her love of God, her family, her generous nature, compassion and kindness to everyone.The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Canon Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 11:00 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, Louisiana on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, and the visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time.
