Corazon O'Dell, born March 25, 1924 in Manila, Philippine Islands, died on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in New Orleans, LA. Cora was an avid participant in the People Program and the Poydras Home Adult Day Care Program. She was loved by all who knew her for her gentle spirit and beautiful smile. She was married to the late Walter H. O'Dell with whom she was blessed with three daughters. Cora is sadly missed by her daughters and son-in-laws, Gracia Siegel (Barry) of New Orleans, LA., Mathilda Schlufter (Louis) and Cora O'Dell of Charleston, S.C. She is also survived by her sister, Milagros Ramos of Long Beach, CA., three nieces, four nephews, four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 25, 2017 which would have been Cora’s 93rd birthday at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
