Angel Ignacio Zaldivar passed peacefully Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:27 p.m. He was born in Camaguey, Cuba on February 1, 1960 and came to the United States in September of 1969 at the age of 9. Son of the late Angel Alberto Zaldivar and Amalia Paulina Hernandez Zaldivar. Angel is survived by his brother, Carlos Alberto Zaldivar, and 4 sisters: Alexis Zaldivar Sparacino (Vito), Irma Zaldivar Pomar (Frank), Caridad Zaldivar and Juana Zaldivar Barletta (Gino). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great nieces.

Angel grew up in New Orleans (Mid-City), where he worked and made life-long friends. He will always be remembered by family and friends as a respectful, loving, kind and gentle soul. 

A Graveside Service will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
