Marguerite Meliet Zimmer passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of 47 years to the late Archie B. Zimmer Sr. Loving mother of Roxanna Z. LeBon (Thomas), Kim Z. Vallee (L.J.), Lisa Z. Volion (Kevin), Archie "Butch" B. Zimmer Jr., and Genny Z. Painter (Keith). Grandmother of Colleen Vallee, Colby Painter (Dara), Justin Volion, Alysse Baudier (Roger), Travis Volion and 1 great grandchild, Cameron Ziegler. Daughter of the late Henry and Marie Meliet. Sister of Jean Hess, Patsy Robert, and the late Henry Meliet Jr., Elizabeth Laudun, Delores Meliet, and Robert "Doc" Meliet.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
