Carla Nicholas Harrison was called home to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the age of 52. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert P. Nicholas and her grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Hugh Harrison; seven children: Leroy Ogungbeje, Shanika “Nika” Anderson, Trishana “Shana” Anderson, Jasmine “Wazzy” Anderson, Devin Melancon, Kobie Melancon and Torin Melancon; her mother, Edna B. Nicholas; her sister, Connie Nicholas; her brother, Michael Nicholas; her nephews, Colin Nicholas and Aidan Nicholas as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her two dogs, Two-Dat and Niner. Carla will be forever loved and sadly missed by her family and friends who will remember her love for the Saints and for her obsession with Disneyworld. Appreciation is extended to the staff of Ochsner Main Campus for their compassionate care.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
