I was so sorry to read about the Lentini family loss of your father. It's never easy to loose such a distinguished gentleman and it will be felt for years to come. He did leave legacy of patriotism and integrity which will be passed down for generations to come. My thoughts and prayers are with you Ellen and with your entire family.
Sincerely, Barbara L. Viosca

My sincere sympathy to the family of Tony Lentini. He selected me to be his Adjudication Officer when he was the Director of the New Orleans Regional Office. His commitment to serving the veterans of Louisiana was obvious. We worked together from 1990-1996. He was a model of how a senior executive should lead. I credit his mentoring to my subsequent movement to director of the largest VA office in the country. Politicians today talk about serving veterans. Tony Lentini didn't talk, he actually accomplished service to our military throughout his whole life.

I started at the VA in 1974 and he was the Director. I had many dealings with him throughout my long career with the VA. He was a true gentleman and very friendly. It was good to see him attend the lunches with our VA retired group over the last several years. He definitely lived a full life and he and his wife raised a fine family and obviously instilled many of his values to them. My prayers and thoughts are with his entire family and he will be missed by his 'VA Family".

I met Colonel Lentini when his son Tony and I became best friends at West Point. He was a prime example of why his generation was called "The Greatest". He was "old school" in the finest sense of the word. Our thoughts are with Tony and Carolyn and all of the Lentini family.
