Yvette LeFebre Russo, 56, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family on September 17, 2022.
Born and raised in Metairie, Yvette was a graduate of Archbishop Chapelle High School. She was devoted wife and mother and stayed home to raise her children while they were young. For the last 15 years, she worked for the Jefferson Parish Sewerage Department where she was named employee of the year in 2019. Yvette lived life to the fullest and loved even harder. She was a lover of travel, with cruises and beach trips her vacations of choice. She was a lifelong supporter of the New Orleans Saints, enjoyed concerts and live music with family and friends, loved parading on St Charles for Mardi Gras, everything related to Christmas, craft fairs, her cherished girls days, and more recently her hunting trips with John. Yvette was the most loyal friend and she could light up a room with her smile and personality. She never met a stranger and she always put the needs of others in front of her own, even until the very end.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, John J. Russo, daughter Amanda “Mandy” Hedrick (Chris) and son Austin Russo. Daughter of Donald J. & Mary Ann “Susie” Pasqua LeFebre. Daughter in law of the late Joel Russo and Lucille Aucoin Russo. Grammie to Allie & Colton Hedrick and Sister of Dwain P. LeFebre. She is also survived by countless other family and friends.
