Wilman Joseph Guidry

Wilman “Teeny” Joseph Guidry, a resident of Killian, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, with family members present. Wilman was raised in Kenner, Louisiana where he attended primary and high school. He then started a career in transportation. He worked for Newspaper Carrier, Louisiana Transit, Continental Trailways, Hotard Coaches, Jefferson Parish Public School System, 4’D Guidry’s Truck Service and Projectionist (Kenner Cinema and Joy's Panorama Theatre). A well-loved man, Wilman enjoyed meeting new people from every facet of his life. Wilman was an avid bowler and card player. His incredible talents included landscaping, woodworking and home renovations. Wilman was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Octavia Guidry; his son, Dirk Guidry Sr.; son-in-law, Kenneth “Kenny” Kieffer Sr.; grandsons, Dirk “DJ” Guidry Jr. and Kenneth “KC” Kieffer Jr., Cameron Guidry, and Cassidy Guidry. He is survived by his wife, Katherine McGee Guidry; son, Darren Guidry (Tabitha); daughters, Debra Guidry Kieffer and Dale Guidry Guilbeau (Lester, Jr.); grandchildren: Lesley Guidry Daigrepont, Rylan Guidry, Ainsley Guidry, Chad Kieffer, Lacylynn Guilbeau McGehee, Chelsea Guilbeau Wilson; and great-grandchlidren: Desiree Lynn, Blake Daigrepont, Brandon Daigrepont, Breland Daigrepont, Aubrey Kieffer, Kayla Kieffer, Alexus McGehee, Addison McGehee, Cambree Guilbeau and William Wilson III. Wilman will be sorely missed by family and many many friends.
A Graveside Service will be on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie, LA 70001 at 11:00 am. Arrangements are under the care of Garden of Memories Funeral Home.
