He was born in the heart of New Orleans on January 17, 1944, proceeded by his parents Vincent J. Barbaro Sr. and Anna Mae Gambino. He has been graciously waiting to be reunited with his Dimples, Peggy Lee Puipuro Barbaro, his true love of 46 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Christina Barbaro Smith (Kevin) and Amy Barbaro Clay (Billy), Five Grandchildren, who called him PaPete; Cody and Kaden Smith & Izabella, Lucinda and Finley Clay; and his rescue dog Pugslee. After attending Redemptorist and Fortier High, he joined the National Guard where he served as a Military Police.
Pete worked for Pellerin Milnor Corporation for 17 years. He then worked as a mechanic for United Machinery Corporation while owning his own laundromat, Sunny Bright Washeteria. After retiring, Pete drove for several auto dealerships delivering parts.
PaPete loved driving fast in his 64 GTO, LSU, the Saints, making light of any bad situation and Casino runs with his siblings. He had several antique cars, he would tinker with to pass the time. He was the kindest, easiest going, amazing man to ever know. He never met a stranger. He is our GOAT!!
