Ted Allen Guthrie

Ted Allen Guthrie, passed away at the age of 78 on March 31, 2018 at 12:30 pm. He was born on November 19, 1939 in Yakima, Washington and was a resident of LaPlace, LA for the past 25 years. He was a US Navy veteran and served from 1956 - 1960 on two ships, The USS Current (ARS-22) and the USS Firedrake (AE-14). He attended college in Oregon and held a private pilot's license. He worked for Navy contractors in Guam, San Diego and New Orleans and retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, as an electrical engineer. He is survived by his wife, Densita Guthrie and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm.
