September 11, 1924 ~ February 25, 2018 (age 93) 93 Years Old

Tribute

Sybil George Williams-Gibson – known affectionately to all as “TuTu” – passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the age of 93.
Sybil was born on September 11, 1924, the daughter of the late Edwin M. George and Albertine Sybil Soulant. She graduated from Eleanor McMain High School in 1941 and worked for decades as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a profession which suited her servant heart and compassion for others. TuTu spent much of her full life traveling around the world when not working, but the longtime resident of Metairie loved the New Orleans area and embraced all the city had to offer, including never missing Mardi Gras. She was a voracious reader and in recent years enjoyed playing dominoes. TuTu was a devoted parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena for over 60 years. Her indomitable spirit, zest for life, love of family, sense of humor, and stubbornness will be missed but never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by loving husbands William W. Williams in 1969 and Roy J. Gibson in 1992; her beloved son, Errol K. Williams; her adored grandchild, Ryan P. Williams; her parents, as well as siblings, Edwin M. George, Jr., Lloyd J. George and Shirley G. Cannon. She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her grandson, Kelly S. Williams and his wife Renee; her great grandchildren Sophie M. Williams, Max R. Williams, Jack R. Kenney, Kearsten J. Kenney, and Noah J. Kenney; her loving sisters, Patricia G. Mahaffey and Beverly G. Kelly and her husband Kenneth; her caring sister-in-law Ramona George; and TuTu is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews and extended family.
