Steven Gavrin

Steven Lee Gavrin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 surrounded by family at age 68. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jannie Danner Gavrin and Samuel Morris Gavrin. Steven leaves behind his lifelong companion Sandra Brister and their son Austin Gavrin. He also leaves behind his nephews, Kirt Gavrin (Tammy), Jeffrey Vaughan and Bo Vaughan (Juli), several great nieces and nephews: Blake Rodriguez, Jeffrey Vaughan, Tori Vaughan, Samantha Gavrin, Katelyn Vaughan, Amanda Vaughan, Paxson Vaughan and other numerous nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Steven touched numerous lives with his larger-than-life personality and had a great love for classic cars and Cruising the Coast. He was a hardworking, kind, fun-loving, one of a kind guy who lived life to the fullest and at the beat of his own drum. Steven was always a jokester who enjoyed spending time with friends and family while always laughing and being the life of the party. He will be sorely missed by his friends, customers, extended devoted family and his beloved dog Reggie.

A Celebration of Steven's life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Jeffersonian Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
