Sherwood “Chappie” Paulin of Metairie, LA, went to sleep with God on Sunday, December 30, 2018. He was born in New Orleans on January 3, 1944 and was preceded in death by his parents, Sherwood and Louise Clements Paulin and his brother, Michael Paulin. Chappie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jo Ann Vanney Paulin: his son, Timothy Paulin (Elizabeth); and daughter, Jennifer Paulin. He is also survived by his twin grandsons, Jordan and Avery Paulin; his brother, Ronald Paulin (Cindy); sister, Terryl Paulin Masson (Robert); his sister-in-law, Debbie Paulin, as well as an extended family he loved dearly. He attended St. Anthony of Padua school, Holy Cross High School and graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University. He worked for Olivetti Corp., Mossy Motors and Insurance Underwriters. Chappie loved fishing, telling jokes, was fascinated with outer space and was an excellent salesman.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70001 with Fr. Gerald Seiler of St. Edward the Confessor Parish officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services from 9:30 am to 11:30 am with service begin at 11:30 am followed by interment in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
