Sandra Saladino Caminita

Sandra Ann Caminita passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Joseph Saladino, and her beloved husband, Michael James Caminita, III. Devoted mother of Ronald Caminita, Richard Caminita Sr., Rhonda Caminita and Russell Caminita.  Beloved grandmother "Mamaw" of Anthony Caminita, Richard Caminita Jr., Dylan Caminita, Dalton Caminita, Lauren Smith, Brandon Smith and Dani Caminita. Loving daughter of Shirley Saladino and sister of Sheryl Saladino and Vic Saladino.  She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren. She deeply loved her family and was deeply loved by them.  
Sandra was very proud of her Italian heritage and served as Treasurer of The Italian / American Society. She enjoyed playing Pokeno and Mexican Train with her lifelong friends from New Orleans East, and loved spending time with her family, playing board games and sharing her favorite stories and recipes. She was a huge fan of music and a great line dancer. Her presence will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with a Mass at 1:30 p.m. followed by inurnment.
