Rudy Clarence Perronne Jr

Rudy C. Perronne, Jr., age 79, of River Ridge, LA, passed away on Friday morning, June 4, 2021, at Ochsner Hospital from respiratory complications. Rudy was born in New Orleans, LA. On March 18, 1942, to the late Rudy C. Perronne, Sr., and Dorothy Mae Killman. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of almost 52 years, Lynne Kellerman Perronne and his loving children Lorie Perronne (Dennis Rodriguez), Brian Perronne (Jeanie), and Karen P. Dicharry DVM (Ryan). He is also survived by his adored grandchildren, Ian Perronne (Alexandra Palermo), Jared Deeke (Brooke), Zachary Morrison, Sarah Morrison (Nicholas Romero), Kylen Perronne, Colin Dicharry, Evan Dicharry, and two great grandchildren Leighton Deeke and Layla Morrison. Rudy is also survived by his siblings Sandra P. Mitten, Thomas Perronne, Bonnie P. Harmeyer (Robert/Buddy), Pamela P. Roselli, and Dewey Brannon (Robbie), sisters-in-law Carmen V. Kellerman, Carole McMahon (Anthony/Mac), Vernell D. Kellerman, Peggy K. LeBlanc (Dean) and brother-in-law Richard Warr. He is predeceased by his siblings the late Frederick Perronne and June Perronne, his brothers-in-law the late Dr. Harry Kellerman, Jerry Kellerman, Raymond Mitten, and sisters-in-law the late Sue Perronne and Victoria K. Warr. Rudy is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
As a young man, Rudy spent many rewarding years involved in the Order of DeMolay receiving the Legion of Honor award for his service. Rudy was the owner of Perronne’s Grocery & Meat Market in River Ridge. Since his retirement he enjoyed cooking for his family- especially his grandchildren. He also loved attending his grandchildren’s sports games and school events. Rudy was a gifted storyteller and family and friends always loved listening to his stories. He also enjoyed volunteering at East Jefferson Hospital on Friday afternoons and attending exercise classes at Ochsner Elmwood Fitness Center.
Rudy was a devoted member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in River Ridge. He was a kind, hardworking, and loving man who truly loved making new friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
