Rose Ziegler Hotard

Rose Z. Hotard passed away on May 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by Lionel P. Hotard, her beloved husband of 66 years. She is survived by her sons Lionel P. Hotard, III (Sheila) and Joseph F. Hotard (DeDe), and her daughter Catherine H. Demma (Alan). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Therese Hotard. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Michael Hotard (Christina), Michelle Henry (Robert), Lionel P. Hotard IV “Lee” (Corianne), Robin Roche (Ed), Alison Dickinson (Chris), Ryan Demma (Erika), Paul Demma (Casey), and Angela Melle (Jeff). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren: Lane, Kimberlynn, Rayanne, Allysa, Brysen, Oliver, Quinn, Evelyn, Paxton, Cassidy, Nina, Patrick, Nelson, Claire, Adrienne, Grant, Abigail, Connor and two great great-grandchildren.

She is a long-time resident of River Ridge and a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Parish. Rose was a loving caregiver to many friends and family members. She was a smart, strong woman who was always willing to try new things. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. 70001. Visitation will start at 10:30 AM with a catholic Mass at 12:30 PM. Entombment will follow the mass in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
