Ronald J. Depolitte

Ronald J. Depolitte passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the age of 80. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gwendolyn Gros Depolitte; his son, Ronald J. Depolitte, Jr. (Lisa); his granddaughter, Brittany Depolitte; his grandson, Peyton Depolitte; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Mikelonis (Bud) and Margie Shavers (Grady) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Depolitte and Rose Ricord Depolitte along with a cousin who was like a sister, Evelyn Leonard.
Ronald received an honorable discharge as a sharpshooter from the Army National Guard in 1964. After 30 years as a brakeman, he retired from KCS Railroad and had also worked as a truck driver for L&A Transportation.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
