Roger Louis Abadie Jr

Roger Louis Abadie, Jr., of Mandeville, LA entered eternal rest on April 23rd, 2022 at 10:45 A.M.
He was 79 years old, born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for nearly 30 years.
He was born to the late Roger Louis Abadie, Sr. and the late Eunice Simon Abadie.
He was the brother of the late Judith Abadie Conrad and Myrna Abadie Gorman.
He was married to Patricia Barnes Abadie for over 54 years and the father of four children: Christine, Jeffrey, David and Elizabeth and their spouses respectively David Graham, Kristina Abadie, Joselyn Mercado-Abadie and Garett Drez.
He was grandfather to Alison Mantilla Raskin and her spouse JJ Raskin, Anthony Andonie, Andre Andonie, Julianna Graham, Henry Abadie, Mason Abadie, Weston Abadie, Andrew Drez and great grandfather to Tavi Raskin.
Roger worked for Entergy (LP&L) for 41 years where he served as Lineman for Jefferson Parish. Later, he worked as Right of Way Coordinator for Northshore Southern Region. He retired in 2006. He was also an active volunteer at the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum.
We would like to express sincere gratitude to family, friends and medical professionals who helped support him during his illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Garden of Memories (4900 Airline Dr. Metairie LA 70001) on Monday May 2nd, 2022 at 10:00am, followed by a mass at the Garden of Memories chapel at 11:30am.
The internment will be a private family event at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred, or a donation to St. Jude Hospital or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
