Robert Evans Turk, Jr.

Robert Evans Turk Jr., known to many as "Bobby", passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at the age of 76. Loving husband to Suzanne (Sue) Bignell Turk. Proud and loving father to Robert Turk lll, Damon Turk (Alicia Turk), Christine Cantrell (Greg Cantrell), Michele Turk, and Cherie Adler (Coleman Adler). Son of the late Robert Turk Sr. and Audrey Elliot Turk. Proud Popsie of his seven grandchildren: Gabrielle Turk, Isabella Turk, Damon Turk II, Bobby Turk  IV, Brandon Turk, Emery Adler and Coleman Adler IV, two step-grandchildren, Abby Cantrell and Jessica Cantrell Zuppardo (Joe Zuppardo) and one step-great grandchild, Hadley Zuppardo. Bobby was a graduate of Louisiana State University and remained a devoted Tiger fan. He was employed by Avondale Shipyard for over 40 years. Bobby, who was devoted to the Catholic faith, had a heart of gold and an infectious smile. He was a sportsman and loved his fishing. He was very much loved by everyone and will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 6425 W. Metairie Ave. in Metairie on Friday, March 5, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:00 pm. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, Masses in Robert Turk’s name are preferred. Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the current State restrictions require a face covering.
