Philip Marino Locantro Jr.

Philip Locantro, Jr. passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Deborah Locantro. He was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Locantro. Philip was the son of the late Philip and Edna Locantro, Sr. and brother to Thomas Locantro and the late Janet Locantro Black. He is also survived by nieces, Lauren Sheridan and Dena Black and nephews, Connor Sheridan and Lance Black.

Philip retired from the engineering department at Entergy after 36 years and went on to work at Ampiricial Solutions. He enjoyed traveling, his many hobbies (everything from race cars to dollhouse making) and good times with family and friends. He had a great love for animals, especially his little dog, Poppy. Phil will be remembered for his sense of humor and how he was always a neighbor to anyone in need.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until the funeral service begins. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
