Pamela P Trainor

Pamela Ann Pittman Trainor, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and teacher passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on February 1, 2019. She was a native New Orleanian and longtime resident of Metairie. Pam is survived by her husband, John B. Trainor, Jr., son Jacob Alexander Windstein, daughter Maddie Clare Windstein (Sarah Drake), stepdaughter Tiffany Trainor Gomez (Dustin), stepdaughter Olivia Grace Trainor, grandson Sebastian Anthony Gomez, brother James F. Pittman III (Michelle), and sister Patty Pittman DePaul (Mike). She is preceded in death by her parents Clare Alexander Juneau and James F. Pittman, Jr. and her grandparents James F. Pittman, Sr., Anna Paretti Pittman, Otis B. Alexander, Sr. and Anna Bella Murphy Alexander. Pam is also survived by a large and loving group of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, many of whom also knew her as “Nanny”.
Pam spent her entire professional life as a teacher specializing in early childhood development. After spending the first half of her teaching career at Ursuline Academy and St. Benilde School, Pam spent the last 18 years teaching in the Jefferson Parish Public School System, most recently at Harold Keller Elementary.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Pam’s life on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. At noon there will be a Mass of Christian Burial followed by the inurnment.
