Orestes Alipio Rodriguez Jr.

Orestes Rodriguez Jr. departed this life on Saturday, January 15, 2022 to be reunited with his late mother, Nuncia Rodriguez. Orestes, 68, was born on August 15, 1953. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Mirian Rodriguez; his son, Orestes Jovanni Rodriguez III (Priscilla); his grandchildren, Jeovany Joshua Rodriguez and Orion Luke Rodriguez; his father, Orestes Rodriguez Sr.; his brother, Luis Rodriguez; two sisters, Soraya and Maria Rodriguez; his two step-children, Aymara Paola Guerra and Ayron Guerra; and his step-grandchildren, Jaelyn and Nathalie Pineda. Orestes spent his career in the hospitality industry, working at La Riviera Restaurant for 25+ years, later working at La Boca for 6 years, and ended his career as Maître D at Andrea’s for more than 5 years. A loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, Orestes will be remembered dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Tharp Sontheimer Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Metairie, LA 70001 on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am with a Catholic Service starting at 12:00 pm followed by interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001.
