Nolan Joseph Gauthier

Nolan Joseph “Doc” Gauthier passed away at home with his family at his side on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born in Hessmer, LA to the late Deo and Loretta Ponthier. Beloved husband of Gertrude Gauthier and devoted father of Keith Gauthier (Ginger), Vanessa G. Odems (late, Mel), Joe Gauthier, and the late Vickie G. Snell. Brother of Nan G. Goudeau (Hank). Also survived by his grandchildren: Kyle Gauthier, Jena S. Rogers, and Sean M. Snell, and his great-grandchildren: Katie J. Gauthier and Kyle Gauthier, Jr.
Doc worked at the American Can Company for 37 years before his retirement. He loved being at Doc’s Cajun Social Club “Da Camp” with friends and family, passing a good time.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Tharp Sontheimer Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Metairie, LA 70001 on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a Service starting at 12:00 noon followed by interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001. Arrangements under the care of Garden of Memories Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Doc’s name to Children’s Hospital at www.chnola.org or American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
