Nancy P Monson

Nancy P. Monson passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 in Destrehan, LA. She is survived by her children Shea E. Monson, Matthew Monson (Mia), and Mons Monson (Tori); grandchildren Aiden Monson, Mason Monson, Mack Monson, and Maverick Monson; her step-mother Carlyn Paratore. She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph J. Paratore, Jr. and Dorothy Kass Paratore and her best friend, Carol McEntee.
Among her beloved group of friends and organizations she belonged to include the River Rats, Omega Phi Sisters, the Ya-Ya’s, her Range Gang, and Host Team. Nancy loved cooking and took pride in working in her garden and taking care of her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren who will miss her homemade macaroni & cheese and shrimp mirliton. She was known to be the life of the party and had a multitude of friends and family who loved her vibrant spirit. She will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
