Modesta Gagliano

Modesta R. Gagliano passed away on June 20, 2022 at the age of 88. Mother of Angela Maranto and the late Anthony Maranto. Grandmother of Dustin Holman and Elijah Maranto. Great grandmother of Presley, Harley and Stella Holman. Daughter of the late Anthony Gagliano and Mary Cashiola Gagliano. Sister of Frank Gagliano (wife Gloria).
Ms. Gagliano grew up in New Orleans, LA. and resided in Metairie, LA. most of her life. She retired from Walker Roemer Dairy in 1983. She was very active with the Jefferson Senior Center, a member of the Golden Agers and a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen.
Modesta was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved to put a smile on everyone’s face she encountered. She touched many lives and will always be remembered for her kind heart and helpful nature.
Relatives, friends of the family and treasured friends from the Treasure Chest Casino are invited to attend the funeral mass on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. 70001. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM with a mass 2:00 PM. Interment will be immediately following at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
