Michael Charles Wisecarver Jr. passed away on May 30, 2022. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, high school sweetheart and wife of 4 years, Lauren Bourgeois Wisecarver; his parents, Michael Charles and Pamela Caldarera Wisecarver; his siblings: Melissa Mahaffey (James) and Tara Russo (Michael); and his nieces and nephew: Vera and Elle Mahaffey and Ruby, Sadie and Jackson Russo.
Michael graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School, where he played on the baseball and football varsity teams. He received baseball scholarships and was on the pitching rotation at Delgado Community College and Nicholls State University. He was recruited to play in the North Woods League for the Iowa Bucks and made the national all-star team. After graduating college, he worked as a sales representative at the family business, Wechem Inc.
Michael was an avid outdoorsman and was happiest when he was hunting and fishing. He spent as much time in nature as possible and loved taking family and friends out to enjoy these passions. You could find him in a deer stand, duck blind, or fishing boat many weekends a year, quality time he spent with his wife and his father. Michael developed many close relationships through work, sports, hunting, and fishing. He loved spending time with his immediate and extended family, and all of his nieces and nephews adored him. Michael will be missed and not forgotten.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 at Divine Mercy Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Parkway, Kenner, Louisiana 70065, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:30 a.m.
