Michael John Cascio

Michael John Cascio, June 11, 1961 to January 20, 2023. Husband of his beloved Tami Chase Cascio, who cared for him during his valiant battle with pancreatic cancer, father of his adored Alexis Marie Cascio, son of the late Paul Joseph Cascio Jr. and the late Marlene Tessitore Cascio; Brother of the late Anthony Cascio. Survived by his siblings, Paul III, Marlene (Teddy), Johnny (Melissa), Christopher and Mary. He also leaves behind his niece, Melissa, great nieces Victoria and Lillian, his nephew Teddy (Brianne) and great nephew Quinn.
In addition to his family, Michael leaves hundreds of friends who loved him for his spirit and kindness. Michael was a loving husband, father, brother and Fratelli D’Italia, Brother of Italy! He graduated from Chalmette High School in 1979, where he was a member of the football team. After attending UNO, he began working in the hospitality industry. His last employment was with the Oak Oven Restaurant. He mentored many young people, and had many loyal customers.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 26, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. 70001. A requiem Mass will follow in the chapel. Burial will be held in the adjoining cemetery immediately thereafter.
