Mercedes Roman Nagy

Mercedes Roman Nagy went home to our heavenly father on Monday, June 4, 2018. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry L. Nagy Sr. Cherished and loved by her children, Bernice N. Yuratich (Paul) and Larry L. Nagy Jr. and her grandchildren, Laurence A. Yuratich, Joseph W. Yuratich, Alexandra O. Nagy and Zachary L. Nagy as well as a host of devoted and loving sisters, nieces and nephews. Born to the late Julio Cesar Roman and Maria Teresa Morales of Managua, Nicaragua. Mercedes came to the United States at the young age of 18 where she soon met and fell in love with her American soldier. Together they had a beautiful life and an everlasting love. Devoted to family, Mercedes always put everyone’s needs before her own. Making everyone happy and helping family is what made her whole. This is evident by the outpouring love and support we have received since her passing.
Although we are heartbroken by our loss, we are comforted by the fact that mom and dad are together in each other’s arms again.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Monday, June 11, 2018. Visitation is from 9 – 11 am, followed by a Mass at 11 am. Interment immediately following in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
