Mason Albert McStay

Mason Albert McStay passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the young age of 28. Mason was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Madelyne and Albert J. LaCroix, Sr. and Georgia Mae and Ross W. McStay, Sr., and his aunt, Jackie Steeg. He leaves behind his loving parents, Donna L. and Ross W. McStay, Jr.; his beloved siblings, Ross W. McStay, III (Amanda) and Alyson M. Decourt (Chad); his nieces and nephew: Theresa McStay, Violet McStay, Ember McStay, Brianna Trentacosta, Carson Campeaux, Brooklyn Decourt, and Maci Decourt; as well as numerous cousins.
Mason was passionate about drawing and creating art. He had expansive knowledge and understanding of cryptocurrency and enjoyed sharing it with friends and family. He cherished his family and spending time with his nieces and nephew. Mason has a great love for animals and his dog, Loretta.
Although you’re no longer near, you will always be close, forever in our hearts. When we think of you, we will see your beautiful, hopeful eyes and hear your gentle laugh. We’ll picture you in the arms of God, reunited with your Paw-Paw, Maw-Maw, Aunt Jackie, and others holding you tight until we’re together again. Love you forever, Mom & Dad
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by a Mass at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be private at Greenwood Cemetery. Due to state regulations, the services are limited to 150 people and everyone is required to wear a mask at all times.
