April 21, 1941 ~ April 16, 2023 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Tribute

Martha Rebecca “Becky” Lassalle entered through the gates of Heaven at 5:42 p.m. on April 16th, 2023. She is survived by her husband Francis Paul “Red” Lassalle. On June 5th the couple would have been married for 63 years!  She is also survived by her children Francis Paul Lassalle III (Catherine), Susan Lassalle (Julie), Steven Lassalle (Melissa) and Keith Lassalle (Tanya Lindsey). She was blessed to have 9 grandchildren, Corinne Welch (Geoff), Kaitlyn Cottrell (Jake), Francis Paul Lassalle IV, Rebecca Patterson (Patrick), Margaret Russell (Kevin), Mikalah Lassalle, Olivia Lassalle, Chloe Lassalle, and Stevie Lassalle. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Christopher Welch, Evelyn Welch, Quinn Cottrell, and Brielle Patterson.
Martha was the daughter of the late John C. and Cleo Ball and the late John Trammell. She was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Bordelon (Donald) and is survived by her brother Edward Tramell (Carolyn) and sister Jackie Brockhan (Jimmy).
Becky, later known by her family as Granny, was a homemaker who was very involved with the lives of her children. She made hundreds of trips to the local playground to watch her children practice and play sports. Her four children participated in numerous groups and activities, and she was involved in all of them. Becky also made sure that her children were brought up in the faith by bringing them twice on Sunday and every Wednesday to Memorial Baptist Church. Most recently Becky was a proud member of Church of the King where she worshiped and served faithfully by organizing the communion team and was leading a women’s Bible study.
Becky was an avid tennis player. She enjoyed playing the game and developed long term relationships with her fellow players. Becky hosted Bible Studies for women for more than 40 years. Granny and Pop (Paul) owned a hot air balloon for 20 years and have flown in balloon festivals all over the United States and other countries like Canada and France. Traveling was one of her passions which allowed her to see all 50 states and travel to other countries. It would be hard to know which one was her favorite although her time in Kenya and Israel would be high on the list. Becky was a strong woman of deep faith and was not afraid to tell others about Jesus. She was able to see the fruit of her labor and witnessed all her children and grandchildren be baptized among many of the others whose lives she influenced. There is no doubt that she heard, “Well done my good and faithful servant” on the day she met Jesus face to face.
