Marlene Shelton Lambert

Marlene passed away peacefully at her home on April 10, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 73 years old. She is survived by her brother Philip, daughter Raeann Lambert (Daniel Paisant Sr), and her step-grandchildren Meredith Paisant and Daniel Paisant Jr. Marlene is preceded in death by her son Blaine Lambert, her partner of 30+ years Louis Dugan, her Ex-Husband Michael Lambert, and her parents Edward and Esther Shelton. Marlene was born on August 31, 1947 in Houma Louisiana and lived in Kenner Louisiana for 35 years. Marlene was a long-time employee of Radio Phone and Tonti Properties. She was blessed with a host of lifelong friends and was truly a fun loving and giving person who never met a stranger. She was deeply involved with her community at The Chardonnay Village Condominiums for 35 years. Marlene loved gardening, decorating, cooking, entertaining, and of course her beloved cats. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA. at 2:30 PM on Saturday April 17, 2021. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM until Mass. Interment will follow at a later date at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma Louisiana. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org/donate or 1-800-805-5856).
