Marie Husser Mathas

Marie Husser Mathas, 76, of Jefferson, LA passed peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She was born in New Orleans to the late Elize Husser and Annie Booty Husser and raised in Jefferson, LA. She graduated from East Jefferson High School in 1962. Marie is survived by her loving children, Donnie Mathas (Robin), Bethany Wick (Bryan) and Adam Mathas (Julie); her cherished grandchildren: Margaret Mathas, Garrett, Casey and Conner Wick, Hunter Mathas; and great-grandchild, Cameron Boyer. She is also survived by her brother, Galen Husser (Mary), and sister, Sandra Bordelon (Vester).
Marie was very family oriented and enjoyed gardening. She especially loved her beloved cat, Ellie. She retired as a legal secretary with Whitney Bank after many years of service.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a service starting at 12:00 noon followed by burial.
