Lydia Xanadu Viera

Lydia Xanadu Viera, A.K.A Lydie Bee, Lou, or Boogalou, got her Angel wings on April 19, 2019 at 11 years of age.
Lydia is proceeded in death by her Great Grandmother, Mildred Vernon, and Rocco, her guard and family dog.
Lydia is survived by her mother, Yvonne Laughery, her father Andres Viera Jr., her older brother Alex Lemus, her younger sister Layla Viera, Grandmothers Elovan Laughery, Hilda Moreno, and Lala Cerra, her Grandfather Andres Viera Sr., and her Uncles Richard and Robert Laughery.
A memorial service following her cremation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 3:00pm with a visitation at 2pm, followed by a balloon release to celebrate Lydia’s rise to the Heavens above at Garden of Memories, located at 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001.
In remembrance of Lydia’s fondness of bright colors, we ask that you please do not feel obligated to wear black, but colors to commemorate Lydia’s love of lively colors.
She touched the lives of everyone she met, leaving behind a lasting imprint on all our hearts and souls. She endured a life long struggle from the effects of an untreatable virus that caused detrimental and irreversible damage, but fought to be the shining star and angel above.
May we not mourn, but rejoice in her freedom from the pain of her aliments and celebrate the glorious, wonderful 11 years she was with us.
