Lottie Gremillion Paulsen

Lottie Gremillion Paulsen passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the age of 93. She was an exceptional woman who lived and embodied the virtues of family and faith until the very end. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Lottie was born in Plaucheville, LA on March 1, 1925 to Marie Plauche and Homer N. Gremillion, Sr. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Paulsen; the loving mother of Marty Deshotel (Catherine), Clint Deshotel (Debbie) and David Deshotel; devoted grandmother of six grandchildren: Clint Deshotel, Jr., Renee Doize (Craig), Michele Brignac (Keith), Duane Deshotel (Wendy), Dalton Deshotel and Nicole Deshotel and 13 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Delores Thomas, Mary Landreneau and the late William Gremillion, Harvey Gremillion, Homer Gremillion, Jr., Delvina Firmin and Ouida Dufour. Lottie was a retired administrative secretary for the director of Jefferson Parish Technical School where she worked for 25 years. She was a resident of Harahan and a parishioner of St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society, the Silver Trotters and the Bereavement Committee. She was also active with the Harahan Council on Aging.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of St. Francis Villa and Guardian Angel Hospice for their love, care and support of Lottie.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie from 9:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 12, 2018. Interment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
