Loretta Ann Eckert Luketich

Loretta Ann Eckert Luketich passed away in Metairie, La on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the age of 82. Born in New Orleans to the late William and Lillian Archer Eckert and she was preceded in death by her brother, John Eckert. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Joseph P. Luketich; their son, William Luketich (Nancy); grandchildren, Sophie and Jack Luketich; sisters, Kathleen Mipro, Marilyn Connolly, and Sheryl Simoneaux; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Loretta graduated from Redemptorist High School in New Orleans, and was an active parishioner of St. Michael’s Church. Later in life, Loretta and her family settled into Metairie, and found a new home with St. Philip Neri Parish.
Loretta was a devoted mother and wife, and dedicated her life to her family. In her spare time, she could be found in the Bingo hall, playing volleyball, or playing canasta cards. The family would like to thank the caring and devoted staff and team of Metairie Health Care of Riverside Drive.
In Lieu of flowers, masses offered in Loretta’s name are preferred.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, November 29, 2018 beginning at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr. in Metairie. A funeral mass will begin at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
