Leroy Louis Faucheaux, Sr. was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the age of 90. Leroy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Helen Lambert Faucheaux. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Raoul Francis and Irene Friloux Faucheaux, and his siblings, Irving Faucheaux, Nola Faucheaux Termini, and Earl Faucheaux.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamella Faucheaux Papia (husband, James); his son, Leroy Louis Faucheaux, Jr. (wife, Alison); his grandchildren: Sherry Papia, Louis Papia, Jessica Faucheaux, Rebecca Faucheaux, and Austin Faucheaux (companion, Erica Johnson); and his great-granddaughter, Sage Faucheaux.
Leroy was born June 23, 1927 in St. Rose, LA where he lived for many years and then moved to Metairie, LA to raise his family. Leroy graduated from Destrehan High School and then proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was also a proud member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union Number 60 for over 65 years.
The family would like to give special thanks to Leroy's longtime loyal and faithful brother-in-law and best friend, Johnny Pitcher, who for over 70 years was always there for Leroy. The family would also like to thank the staff at Colonial Oaks Living Center and especially Elizabeth Stadler with Hospice Associates for the care they gave Mr. Faucheaux in the last years of his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will held from 9:00 AM until Mass time.
