Leona Keller Miceli passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the age of 90. She is survived and will be missed by her daughters, Marcelle Miceli Waguespack (Johnny) and Maureen Miceli Pierce (Robert Collins); 3 grandchildren: Wade Waguespack (Candice), Jeremy Pierce (Molly), Emily Pierce (Steven Duhe); her great-grandchildren, Caiden Waguespack and Emma Pierce; her sister, Marion Thorn; her sister-in-law, Juanita Keller; and many nieces and nephews she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph R. Miceli; her parents, Leander Keller and Lucille Catoire Keller; her brother, Leander Keller Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Walter Thorn. Leona enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing golf, and working in her garden. The family would like to give special thanks for their care of Mom to Heart of Hospice and her personal caregivers: Eva, Jo, and Mary.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until Mass time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
