Lauraline Maria LaGrange Freese passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born in New Orleans, LA to the late Esla Joffrion LaGrange and Ignace LaGrange and grew up with her brother, the late Tommy LaGrange. She married the love of her life, the late Edmond Freese, in 1957 and raised three loving children: Tammy Freese Hanes (William), Tommy Freese (Connie) and the late Lori Freese. She was a devoted grandmother to 4 grandchildren: Christina Hanes Torres (Blake), Christopher Hanes (Daniel), Evan Freese (Rebecca), and Kyle Freese, as well as 3 great-grandchildren: Madelyn, Lillian, and Cullen Torres. She is also survived by her godchild, Eileen Riley, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Lauraline was a lifelong resident of Kenner and attended many churches such as Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Jerome. She worked at Bissonet Elementary as a teacher’s assistant and was a member of AARP 4924. She was a loving and caring mother, Maw-Maw, Lil Maw, and Ganny.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Monday, March 22, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a Mass starting at 12:00 noon followed by interment.
