Kerry “Kelly” Lee Gordano, age 82, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Covington, LA. He was born on April 9, 1935 to the late George Gordano, Sr. and Pauline Desselle Gordano. Kelly graduated from Warren Easton High School in New Orleans, LA and was a member of the OLDP Men’s Club. He was an avid tennis player and fisherman and loved working in his vegetable garden. He married Rita Mae Waguespack Gordano in 1958 and was happily married for 58 years until her death in 2016. He is survived by his 4 beloved daughters: Kelleen Gordano Demerest (Charles) of Covington, LA, Kathleen Gordano Stanton of Madisonville, LA, Karen Gordano Adams (Albert, Sr.) of Kenner, LA, and Kristine Gordano Ball (Brian) of Covington, LA. He is the loving grandfather of Jason Stanton, Jesse Stanton, Lyndsey Stanton, Amanda Adams, Albert Adams, Jr., Anthony Adams, Madeline Ericksen, and Elise Ericksen. Kelly was the brother of George Gordano, Jr. (late, Rose), the late Sylvia Daigrepont (late, Roy) and the late Jerry Gordano.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until Mass time.
