Kenneth Hayward Morris

Kenneth Hayward Morris entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 23rd, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones in his home in Jefferson, La. He was born on October 4, 1948 in Jefferson, La to the late Carlton and Mildred Elaine Morris. He is survived by his loving wife, Julie Ganucheau Morris, of 34 years. He was a loving and devoted father to his children John Morris (Isabel), Christian Huete (Dana), William Huete (Renee), Lori Morris Zeringue (Edmond), and Colette Morris. He is also survived by his 4 siblings and 8 grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

He devoted his life to his family and always had a positive attitude to project confidence on everyone. The Apparel industry was his occupation for 50 years and working with his customers brought so much joy to him. On his down time, he loved coaching at Harahan playground. Everyone that knew him knows that he had a great love for sports. His hobbies were watching his children and grandchildren play sports, listening to his gospel music, and pulling for his long-loved Saints and Pelicans. His Family loved him deeply and his is smile, laugh, and positive energy will be missed, but never forgotten.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Please note that due to the current State restrictions visitation is limited to a total of 50 people so close friends and family only are permitted. A service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with interment to follow immediately thereafter in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
