Kay Elizabeth Roy

Kay Elizabeth Roy, age 60, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021.  She was the devoted wife of 37 years to Earl Gerald "Jerry" Roy, Jr.; the sister of Cheryl B. Revere (Ernest “Cotton”), Peggy Bordelon and the late David M. Bordelon; the aunt of Stacey Revere, Ernie Revere (Tracy) and Donnie Favalora (Diane); the great aunt of Caleb Revere (Cassidie), Jacob Revere, Aberee Lucius, Lia Revere and numerous godchildren and cousins. She is also survived by her beloved feline children, Oscar, Cha-Cha, Pee-Poo, Penny, Noel and Mokie-mokie-moch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Joseph Bordelon and Earlyn Marie Bordelon.
Kay was a hair stylist since the early 1980's and became a salon owner/operator in the mid 1980's. Creative and talented, she enjoyed interior designing and excelled in planning events and parties for loved ones which she took great pleasure in doing. She was also a superb cook who prepared favorite dishes for family get-togethers. She relished travel and would often spend leisure time in picturesque places at small town bed and breakfasts. 
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. The Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in the St. John Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
