Kathryn Meisner Friedman

Kathryn Meisner Friedman, age 74, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, William Julian Friedman; her loving son, Christian Friedman; and her parents, Louisa Mae Meibaum Meisner and Ernest Frank Meisner I. She leaves behind her adoring daughters, Michelle Friedman-Wallace and Erin Wallace; her beloved grandchildren: Rachel Wallace, Robbie Wallace, Katie Friedman Navarre (John), and Allie Wallace; 3 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Louise May Chapman (Harry) and Ernest Frank Meisner II (Jackie); as well as her nieces and nephews: David Chapman (Ellen), Michael Chapman, Ernest Frank Meisner III, and Jennifer Meisner Regard.
Kathryn was an active parishioner and volunteer at Our Lady of Divine Providence Church. She worked for many different jobs at Ochsner Health, Tulane University Medical School, teaching at St. Matthew the Apostle and St. Christopher the Martyr schools. She was an avid crosstitcher, crocheter, and reader.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Our Lady of Divine Providence Church, 8617 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA 70003 on Monday, May 16, 2022. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 1:00 pm followed by interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70001. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Kathryn’s name to Our Lady of Divine Providence Parish, 1000 N. Starrett Rd., Metairie, LA 70003 or at www.oldp.org.
