Katherine Pitchford Lehon

Katherine “Kitty” Pitchford Lehon passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 97.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Daniel S. Lehon, Sr. and her parents, Belva Pace Pitchford and Marshall Pitchford of Canton, Mississippi. She is survived by her children, Patricia L. Kelly-Call (Lloyd), Danielle S. Lehon, Daniel S. Lehon, Jr. (Renee); her grandchildren, Shannon Kelly Turner (Chris), Daniel Shaun Kelly, Daniel Scully Lehon, and Lauren Claire Call-Schmidt (Richard); her niece, Katherine Adams (James) and nephew, Timothy Morrison (Laurie).
Kitty was a stewardess from 1944-1946 for Chicago and Southern Air Lines based in New Orleans, where she met her husband, Dan. Kitty loved to garden, paint, and spend time with her friends and family. She was kind, gentle, and generous, and she will be sadly missed by those who dearly loved her.
The Lehon family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the loving care and support of the wonderful staff of Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 1:30 pm on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the chapel of Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70001. Visitation will be held prior to services from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm. A private interment will follow.
