June Kahrer

June Brand Kahrer passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 in Metairie, LA.

Beloved wife of the late Louis J. Kahrer, Jr. for 28 years. She is survived by her sister Bonnie brand and one brother, Charles Brand, Sr. (Shirley); and nieces and nephews Dawn Brand Bechtel (Tom), Charlene Brand, Stephanie Stephens (Ernie), Charles Brand, Jr., and Randy Kahrer (Peggy). She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents William Brand and Julia Perreand Brand; and one sister, Joycelyn Brand.

June was a proud member of the Greatest Generation and was very interested in WWII history. She retired after over 30 years with the Department of the Navy where she worked as a Transportation Officer. She was a faithful member and supporter of Faith Lutheran Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church, 300 Colonial Club Dr., New Orleans, LA 70123. Visitation will be held at church prior to the services beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time.
