Judieth Prat

Judieth Ann Geiger Prat was born on December 22, 1948, in New Orleans and went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 16, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, the late Elis Blumenthal Geiger and the late Jeanell Langston Geiger. Mrs. Prat is survived by her son, William "Billy" Edward Prat III, and many cousins.

Mrs. Prat had a 40-year career as a legal assistant employed by several prominent law firms in New Orleans before retiring from Adams and Reese LLP in 2017.

She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, New Orleans, where she was active in all facets of the church, including leading the girls' youth group, Acteens. Later, Mrs. Prat became a founding charter member of Faith Baptist Church, New Orleans. At Faith, Mrs. Prat served as a board member and handled various administrative duties at the church.

In her free time, she was a loving mother, a member of the Aquilla Carnival Club, and volunteered at Global Maritime Ministries and Lagniappe Ministries.

Judy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend the service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie, LA. 70003 on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, service starting at 1:00 PM Interment immediately thereafter.
