JoAnn J LeCarpentier

JoAnn “Jo” LeCarpentier passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the age of 63. She is survived by her loving husband, Louis J. LeCarpentier, Jr., her daughter Jeanette Knight (Chris) and her son Jeremy LeCarpentier (Chrissy) and her 3 grandchildren Mackenzie, Caleb and Jacob. She is also survived by her mother, Shirley Johnson, her siblings, John Johnson (Ann), Joseph Johnson (Kimberly) and Melissa Marsh, her in-laws Janet Flattman (Gus), Charles LeCarpentier (Elizabeth), Marie Sears, Gerald LeCarpentier (Karen), Margaret Hitchcock (Michael) and a host of nieces and nephews. JoAnn was a preschool teacher, Brownie Leader, Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den Leader, CYO co-coordinator, High School religion teacher for over 17 years at Mount Carmel Academy and Chapelle High School. She was very active in St. Rita Catholic Church, active with Chapelle Alumni Group, and regularly spent time with her friends from Parkway Preschool. Chapelle High School recently dedicated the Matthew 25 five year 100 hours award in her name. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA and the visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time. Inurnment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com .
