Jimmy Alton Bordelon at the age of 93 of Kenner Louisiana, passed away on February 8, 2024, after suffering from Dementia for several years.

Jimmy was born on April 12, 1930 to Alton Lonis Bordelon and Ollie Josephine Bordelon Marshall, in the beloved city of Marksville Louisiana. Daniel E. Marshall became his stepfather and was a big influence in his life. His paternal grandfather was Walter Ones Bordelon and grandmother Florence D. Bordelon. Jimmy has 3 half siblings, Broay (Mary) Bordelon McNeal, Ray D. Bordelon and the late Marion D. Bordelon.

Jimmy graduated from Allcee Fortier High School in New Orleans on February 17, 1949. Before graduating high school, he entered the Army on August 30, 1948 and served in the Korean War.
Jimmy was discharged from the Army on February 5, 1954.

On December 6, 1951, Jimmy married Lydia Bozonier Bordelon in New Orleans. Jimmy and Lydia had 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grand children and one great great grandchild.

Pamela Anne Bordelon (Crosby), Justin James Bordelon, Kim Marie Bordelon (Patron) and Darlene Marie Bordelon (Tassin).

Pamela Anne Bordelon Crosby married to Donald Joseph Crosby have three children and one deceased child, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Children: John Joseph Crosby, Darren Joseph Crosby, Dione Marie Crosby Faucheux married to Shaun Michael Faucheux and Dale Louis Crosby – Liuzza.
GrandChildren: Olivia Brianna Crosby, Seth Louis Liuzza, Chase Michael Faucheux, and Reece Louis Faucheux
Great Grandchild: Daxton Kash Dupuy   

Justin James Bordelon married to Deborah Trierwiler Bordelon have three children and three grandchildren.
Children: Jay Jacob Bordelon married to Tracy Hall Bordelon
Jesse Jared Bordelon married to Morgan Kates Bordelon
Joshua James Bordelon married to Katherine Logan Bordelon
GrandChildren: Kaysen James Bordelon, Charleigh Claire Bordelon and Jordan Joy Bordelon

Kim Marie Bordelon Patron married to Manny Antonio Patron have one child and one grandchild.
Child: Tanya Marie Patron Borbolla married to Ian Borbolla
Grandchild: Vivian Theresa Borbolla

Darlene Marie Bordelon Tassin married to the late Edmond (Eddie) Tassin has no children.

Jimmy ‘s nickname (Mila-More) started his career with Shell Oil Company Norco Refinery in 1954 as a general helper. He worked 29 years and retired as the operations foreman of the Catalytic Unit. He spent his time saltwater fishing, boating, camping, following the Saints and Tulane football teams, dancing, fixing anything that was broke and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, La. 70001 on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until 2:00PM. A Catholic Mass will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made for a mass in his honor.
