Jewell Jones Breaux

Jewell Jones Breaux departed this life on October 27, 2019 at the age of 89.

She was the beloved wife of Claude Joseph Breaux for 68 years and the 
devoted Mother of: Julie and (Leo) DeAngelis, Pat and (Laurie) Breaux, Mary Beth Breaux and (Garret Haider), Cindy and (the late Charles) Duhon, Claudia and (Scott) Bell, and Kevin Breaux.  

She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Claude Joseph Breaux, her eldest son, Claude Paul Breaux (Marno Ellzey), parents Jesse Euel Jones and Anna Duhon Jones, and sisters Mary Alice Guidry, Anna Lee Howard, and Enid Duhe.

Jewell was born in Garyville, Louisiana on October 20, 1930.  She was a longtime resident of St Charles Parish. She especially loved creating beautiful gardens and spending time with her dogs.

Family and friends are invited to attend the services on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Interment following services at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The online guestbook is available at
