Jared D. Rico

Jared D. Rico passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the age of 24. He is survived by his parents, Juanita M. Gutierrez-Rico and Arnold Rico; his sisters, Natasha Beebe, Khristian Rico; a brother, Forrest Rico; his nieces and nephews: Selena Beebe, Sophia Rodas, Derrick Renshaw, Landon Renshaw, Harley Rico, and Zoie Rico. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Mary Geiling along with aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wilbert Gutierrez, Sr.; his maternal step-grandfather, Alvin Geiling; his paternal grandfather, Frank Rico, Sr. and his paternal grandmother, Barbara Rico.
Jared was employed with Beau Chene Country Club in Mandeville as an apprentice chef and had planned on pursuing a degree in the culinary arts. Smart, happy, optimistic and outgoing, he enjoyed making memories and was always taking photographs to preserve those memories. Jared was a kind and compassionate soul who would give to others even if it meant he did without. His selflessness, generosity and loving nature will genuinely be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am.
Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
